Hello! I’m Victoria Chan, a piano educator based in Worcester, MA, with a Master’s Degree in Music Education from Berklee College of Music.
Music has always been a part of my life — from childhood ballet and piano lessons to conservatory studies and ensemble collaborations. Today, I’m passionate about guiding others through their own musical journeys with warmth, clarity, and creativity.
I specialize in working with:
Young beginners (ages 4–7), using games, movement, and storytelling
Teens and older students, building both technique and expressive depth
Adult learners, whether rediscovering music or starting from scratch
I believe in a student-centered approach that allows learners to feel seen, supported, and empowered. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s pace and personality, blending traditional foundations with joyful exploration.
Master of Music Education, Berklee College of Music
Bachelor of Arts, Music Performance (Classical Piano), Leeds Conservatoire
Kodály Level I Certified, with training in aural development, rhythmic skills, and child-centered pedagogy
Experienced in group instruction, ensemble accompaniment, and music technology (GarageBand, BandLab)
Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, welcoming students from diverse backgrounds
I believe that music is for everyone, and that every student carries their own musical voice waiting to be discovered. Teaching, for me, is not about perfection — it’s about connection, growth, and joy.
Inspired by the Kodály philosophy, I emphasize:
🎵 Aural skills and inner hearing through singing & listening
🌱 Joyful discovery through movement, improvisation, and creativity
🎹 Strong foundations in technique, theory, and expression
❤️ Confidence-building in a safe, encouraging environment
Whether we’re playing a simple melody or preparing a recital piece, my goal is for every student to feel proud, inspired, and connected to their music.
Music is a gift we get to open together, one note at a time.
